Description
: In June 1993, the multinational collaboration between Donghai Chemical and Luoda Company was in full swing. The key figure facilitating Donghai's joint venture, Song Yunfei, was immersed in the ongoing technical reform at Donghai's Pengyang Pesticide Factory with the workers. Despite being a novice in pesticides, Song Yunfei, who had experienced the vast difference from Donghai to Pengyang, persisted in his original commitment to hard work. He led everyone in the development of low-toxic and high-efficiency pesticides, reviving a small pesticide factory on the verge of closure. Lei Dongbao led the merger of Dafeng Wire Factory with small factories, establishing the Thunder Cable Cluster. Setting rules, bidding for projects, engaging in foreign trade, attracting investment, Lei Dongbao faced the warmth and coldness of human relations. He still prioritized the collective and villagers' interests. Yang Xiaolei collaborated with Liang Sishen to build a shopping mall, leveraging the Liang family connections. In the shadows of the business world where right and wrong blurred, he oscillated between doing good and doing bad several times but struggled to do what was morally right. Liang Sishen, in the joint venture, worked hard to balance the interests of Luoda and Donghai. During a friction between Chinese and foreign counterparts, Luoda exaggerated the situation, demanding Liang Sishen's resignation as a condition. In the end, Liang Sishen compromised, using her withdrawal to restore Donghai's safe production. From initially avoiding suspicion to gradually opening their hearts, Song Yunfei and Liang Sishen communicated and faced future challenges hand in hand.
