Yang Yang, born on September 9, 1991 in Shanghai and a native of Hefei, Anhui, is a mainland Chinese actor who graduated from the Class of 2003 Dance Department of the Military and Cultural Institute of National Defense University, People’s Liberation Army. In 2008, he became well-known to the audience and officially debuted through his performance as the adult Jia Baoyu in "The Dream of Red Mansions" directed by Li Shaohong.; In 2010, he won the "Best New Actor Award" in the annual BQ Celebrity Score Awards for his performance in the TV series "The Dream of Red Mansions".; In 2011, he starred in his first film "The Founding of a Party".; In 2015, he gained attention with his performance as the two-faced campus hottie Xu Yi in the film "The Left Ear" and his performance as Zhang Qiling in the seasonal drama "The Lost Tomb". In the same year, he participated in the reality show "Divas Hit the Road: Season 2" and subsequently played the main lead in the youth inspirational series "The Whirlwind Girl", in which the latter got the highest ratings nationally amongst TV series in the same timeslot. On February 7, 2016, he appeared on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and sang the song "Father and Son" with Tong Tiexin. In the same year, he gained more attention by starring in the idol drama "Love O2O". Subsequently, the film "I Belonged to You" in which he played the main lead in was released. In the same year, the fantasy series "Martial Universe" he played the main lead in was premiered. In 2017, he played the main lead in the fantasy romance Xianxia period film "Once Upon a Time".
